Boo to You from Chiptracks

Boo on You in 2024

It’s the scariest night of the year. This year Chip and Peg celebrate one of their favorite holidays in Akumal, Mexico, where the event spans two nights and is called “dia de muertos,” or Day of the Dead. Learn more about previous Halloweens below…

Halloween 2019 with Chiptracks

The Chiptracks travel writing team braves Halloween Night in Round Hill, Virginia.  It’s a great stopping off spot for a night of devilish delights, ghouls and goblins.

It’s also a great launchpad for outdoor recreation in Northern Virginia. Here you are a short drive to the Appalachian Trail, Shenandoah River, Civil War battlefields, award winning wineries.  Plus the splendid W&OD biking and hiking trail is nearby.

Mummy Museum in Guanajuato, Mexico

There’s plenty to do all day long as you steel your nerves for the creepiest night of the year.  Like “Day of the Dead” in Mexico, Halloween is celebrated by family with friends and is a time to reflect on the recently (and not so recently) departed.

This travel writing team is spending the day in devilish delight. They’re putting final touches to Jack ‘O Lanterns, holiday lights and handy candy bowls.  The gracious hosts are also providing delicious loaves of pumpkin bread, a special recipe “witch’s brew” and hearty blood-colored Norton wine.

Sizing up Halloween

It’s a day to spend with family, friends and neighborhood kids doing their devilish best to scare the bejeezus out of anyone who walks by or answers the door without plenty of sweet bribery.
